Just chillin', watching the ships come in.

Aeonwyn is my rogue player character in World of Warcraft – the oldest extant character of mine, in both the Retail and Classic timelines of the game.

When I started playing around with AI art, she seemed like a useful project. Could I teach AI how to draw my character to my satisfaction? I think I have generally succeeded, and these two takes on the same general composition are my favorites to date of her.

I feel like there's a bit of a story to be told here. In the image above, she looks determined and hopeful, almost optimistic – as if the future holds infinite possibility. The second piece strikes me as far moodier – her expression feels like that of a woman who has seen some shit and is coming to terms with it. A sharp-eyed viewer will note that she has traded in her normal daggers (a take on the Steel Bladebreaker from Trial of the Crusader) for the legendary Fangs of the Father set. In other words, she has gained power – but at personal cost.

Getting ChatGPT to render these daggers was part of that cost (to my sanity).
